The Danger of Disengagement (and How Lists Can Help)

Once upon an almost nightmare, I had a job as an elementary school tutor.

My students were a group their teacher described as “disengaged and unmotivated learners” (codename for the rowdiest, most unruly second graders you will ever meet).

Within my first week, they taught me a very important lesson: disengagement can be a very scary thing.

And that’s true for your customers as well. A disengaged audience is dangerous for your business because it holds back your progress and success. No matter how great your emails look or how insightful your blog is, all your hard work will be fruitless without an engaged audience to interact with it.
